You say that you would, “not be so upset with the borrowing of cultural touchstones, if we lived in a just world” But see we do live in that world, that is the real world, a just world where you are left to do what you want and others are left to do what they want.
You are choosing to live in your own world where this is a problem. You are the one making it unjust by trying to impose your opinion onto the fantasy imagination of others.
Yes I think your opinion is dumb because it’s based on how you choose to see the world through a very narrow self entitled and myopic point of view. But yes you’re entitled to dumb opinions, and you are entitled to express them but when do you are going to get called out when they are stupid.
I’m not upset I just think it’s dumb and hypocritical for someone who participates in fantasy roleplay (an activity that’s very foundation is imagination) chooses to critique others on how they choose to participate with their own fantasy and imagination. It’s just not your place.
And that’s the problem you think it is. That’s exactly what makes it “woke” But you are just blind to that because you feel so entitled you don’t even see how your opinion attempts to co-opt and stifle other people’s freedoms.
And that is not cool.
