You may wish that connectivity should know no borders but state sovereignty does so this will never happen in our life times. This isn’t a technical limitation it’s a legal one. Nations have the right to control radio frequencies in their borders even ones that might transmit to satellites. It’s unlikely that all nations will ever agree to this especially considering how paranoid many are.
