With the Republicans controlling, the house, the senate, the White House and the Supreme Court as well as a large portion of state governments and systematically packing lower courts the Republicans are in a position to pretty implement systems that ensure they stay in power indefinitely. And since the party has lost any sense of loyalty to the founding principles or rule of law and even facts and reality yes, yes very much.

Oh we will have elections for sure but it is questionable if they will ever be really free and open again.

Our pluralistic democracy is hanging in a noose called project 2025 and it very much appears that Trump is going to pull the lever and let the platform drop.
