Yeah but you are comparing an event that concluded 60 years ago with an event that is still unfolding every day. Hindsight is 20/20 but you have to imagine what things looked like on say Oct 20th 1962 without the benefit of foresight into what would unfold if you want to compare apples to apples. Remember the details about the deal with theTurkish missiles didn’t become public until the late 1980s and until then the entire negotiation was top secret. What I’m saying is two fold. First don’t confuse history with god like powers of foresight. Kennedy had no idea at the time how events would unfold. Biden doesn’t have a history book written in 2047 to guide him. Second, unless you are a top secret advisor to some government administration, why would you think you would see anything? I don’t think they are inviting the press much less random people to sit in on the strategy and negation sessions. Just because YOU don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
