Wrong just flat out wrong. History does not support this statement. It doesn’t have to be someone who is even seeking reward of any kind. Many or even most political assignations, both failed and successful, have been motivated by a sense of political or moral duty not by any kind of “personal reward” From Booth to Stauffenberg political assassins are rarely motivated by personal reward.
