Wow you are totally projecting and trying to invalidate others people. News flash! Not everyone has had the same experiences. It is entirely possible to be happy about being laid off. It might not be an experience YOU have had personally but it does happen. I remember being laid off from a job I was ambivalent about, given 6 months severance and was happy to take some time off to travel. Another one I got 3 months severance and already had a new job lined up before the exit interview.
