Well... I was with you until that last sentence and your very faulty logic.
It is definitely not true that that "their is only one correct way to implement a logic" and I would be very wary of working with anyone who really thought this way.
There are often many many ways to implement any piece of logic (or algorithm), some will be efficient, others will be less so but more understandable, some will be equivalent but different in implementation. The more complicated the algorithm the more ways it can be assembled to return the same results.
