The sad thing is that Microsoft’s final phone operating system was awesome. It’s unfortunate that so few people used it.

At the time It was quite a leap ahead of iOs and Android in almost every respect. It had an incredibly intuitive interface even on lower end hardware and Cortana was a bound beyond Siri.

The fact was there just wasn’t room for a 3rd player in the arena no matter how great it was. One can only imagine what might have been had Microsoft brought their A-game five years earlier.
