The problem is that both groups do not see any justice in what an outsider would consider a “just peace” so they both devolve to just peace, and it doesn’t matter how.

And it’s a hard pill to swallow but it’s kind hard to dispute the historical fact that genocide (when total and complete) has resulted in peace for the perpetrator. The Romans did away with both the Phoenicians and the Dacians. No one was left to avenge Carthage and there is no country of Dacia instead we have Romania.

And those are just the genocides we know of there are probably hundreds or thousands that we just don’t know anything about because why would we. It’s not right but it is reality.
