That’s not how the principal of least surprise works. It’s an empathetic skill to understand that how you personally see things is not nearly as relevant as how others will see them. You may see it this way but the majority of programmers will not. This is why everyone is making basically the same comments on your post. Programming is not just about writing code for machines but writing code for future developers to edit. This is what people call humility in programming. Ditch the ego and you will grow to be a much better developer.
