So no I'm not ignoring the elephant in the room. I'll say it again because apparently you missed it, "The violence must stop." is a meaningless platitude.
If you equate eliminating Hamas with committing genocide then you either don't know what genocide is, and you should look it up in a dictionary, or you should educate yourself on exactly what Hamas is and its relationship to the Palestinian people as I have stated before they are not the same thing. Stop equating the two they are not remotely the same thing.
This is probably the core perspective in your thinking you need to change, Hamas is not the Palestinian people. While Hamas is currently in control in Gaza they have at best support of about half the population (in Gaza, if you include the West Bank it is much less) but more likely far far less. This is the reason why they refuse to hold elections.
And you are just wrong on so very very many things. Because again the evidence doesn't support it. The "powerful backers" of Hamas are doing exactly nothing but sitting on the sidelines. They will continue to protest, and saber rattle but also to sit on the sidelines because they don't actually care about Hamas at all. Hamas is a pawn. This is why Hamas doesn't have heavy weapons, it's why Hamas's primary weapon of choice for decades has been handmade rockets made from scrap that carry less than 10kg of explosives each.
If these "powerful backers" wanted to do something they would act like "powerful backers" and actually back Hamas but they don't because they aren't. These countries only pay lip service to backing Hamas because Hamas is in opposition to Israel. They only want Hamas to expend the lives of Palestinians in order to try to weaken Israel. They do this because they know that they are not on par militarily with Israel. The only reason these countries will attack if they do is if they see significant weakness in the IDF or if Israel starts actually targeting civilian Palestinians. Since Israel isn't going to do that, they aren't going to attack. No one is coming to rescue Hamas.
These countries won't even take in refugees from Gaza because. these "powerful backers" don't care about the Palestinian people or Hamas. The reason they won't take them is simple, they all know Hamas is a terrorist organization and they don't want Hamas in their country. They don't want to risk an influx of Hamas supporters into their country and the potential instability that could create.
At least you finally admit that Hamas is a terrorist organization.
Now, the question is are you going to continue to defend a terrorist organization?
