Russia is weak. It has a pitiful economy, corrupt institutions, an overly confident military with poorly maintained equipment, declining birth rate, massive emigration, quickly rising unemployment, and crazy levels of inflation. No one has to “defeat” Russia, Russia will take care of defeating itself.

And that is unfortunate for Russia because at the end of all this Russia will no longe have a “sphere of influence”, they will be a part of China’s sphere of influence.
