Of course BYD systems charge faster with cheaper batteries. That’s what happens when you don’t care about safety, push tolerances right to the threshold and leave no margin for error. It’s the exact same reasons why their cars keep spontaneously catching on fire. Any engineer or statistician will tell you that you can’t mass produce systems like that as the law of large numbers will catch up to you eventually.

All that works fine when you are selling cars in China or other countries where you won’t get sued over every little incident but if those incidents happen in the U.S., BYD will spend more on legal bills than they do manufacturing cars.
