Not everyone experience dreams this way. So I don’t know that this analogy really makes the point you are trying to make here. Many people lucid dream and know they are dreaming. I taught myself to lucid dream when I was young and now lucid dream 90% of the time. I definitely know I’m asleep and dreaming when I’m dreaming. But I suppose I get your point.
