No, it really just speaks to the fantasy appeal of the taboo. That’s really nothing new and women do it too so saying it’s men is myopic and ill informed. I’m sure that kind of idea speaks to a narrative some want to portray but it’s not the reality of the situation.
First of all if young teenage boys or girls are fantasizing about older women or men (regardless of familia or other relation) that’s not pedophilia. Teens have always had those fantasies. So it’s very misguided to think that the target audience for this type of porn is only older men. It isn’t and the statistics show a different story which is that this content is consumed largely by teens, again because it satisfies an age old taboo.
Second the entire genre of teen sex isn’t pedophilia either, the correct term is ephebophilia. Even though these two terms are often confused they are very different.
Society has long ago come to understand and tacitly accept the reality of ephebophilia. (It’s the reason this content is legal.) Unlike aberrant behavior like pedophilia, ephebophilia is part of our species and we wouldn’t have survived without it.
But the existence of this is exactly why we have put guard rails around this behavior such as minimum age consent laws. It’s not prevent such behavior (because teens are going to fuck regardless) those laws exist simply to protect younger teens from older more experienced people such as this woman that would take advantage of them.
When we run around needlessly labeling everything as pedophilia we push discussion of sexuality back into the closet.
But more to the point, just as with driving, voting, cigarets, marriage, marijuana, firearms, and alcohol we as a society have firmly fixed, if arbitrary, ages at which we deem participation in these activities acceptable. And again for most place that age is 18.
