Most of this is good advice but it’s really all just about being more assertive not senior. Actually some of this advice would make me doubt your seniority in an organization. For example interrupting someone that has interrupted you is not what a lot of higher ups do. Especially in such a way that could be humiliating to the other person. This is mainly because if you are a person that has more experience and are being interrupted you know it’s probably often for a good reason and you’ve learned that it’s often better to just listen. It’s never polite to interrupt someone but some people have different modes of communication and that person my in fact be trying to interject salient points in a timely manner. In fact that’s the one thing that you miss this article is mostly about how you can get your point across not how to lead or build teamwork. Frankly the best advice to someone who wants to actually gain experience and become a senior not just appear to be one is to just shut up and listen.
