I’ve had this same thought for years and yet there is one reason to be cautious about the effectiveness of this strategy. There are studies that show that people will change their political affiliation to align with their local community. It doesn’t happen instantly but gradually over time. I’ve even seen it happen with friends and family it’s weird and creepy but it does happen.
