I’ve been working remotely since long before the pandemic. I do not recommend it for everyone but for some of us it is far better than the offerings available in an office. When I can provide for myself a work space that is far superior that what the company can why would I want to work in an office.

The modern open office conflicts with my need for distraction free focus. But also I have a far easier time collaborating with peers and I also have far better equipment, more and larger monitors, more ergonomic desk and chair and not to mention a treadmill desk.

Some people are incapable of working from home because they lack discipline, focus, or require constant social interaction. But some of us don’t have those issues.
