Interesting read but I’ve always found rankings and the like and even awards antithetical to the spirit of the art. It cheapens the work, the creativity, the effort that went into it in the first place. We would all have much better cinema if actors, directors, and writers never thought a day about these kinds of things and just made the movies and performances they want to make. The art they want to make.
