I’m not making judgment calls on who is right or wrong. Because ultimately it doesn’t matter. People are going to die and if people are going to die, whatever group you are in you want the out group people to be the people that die, not the people in your group. You need to get comfortable with that concept. Because while it might be sad, that is how people work and that’s not going to change in any of our lifetimes if ever.

I’m pointing out that “kumbaya give peace a chance”, “violence must end”, “It. Never. Ends.” are all meaningless platitudes and don’t actually do anything. Because words rarely do anything and don’t work at all when one group’s stated primary goal is the complete extermination of the other.

There are a lot of ill-informed people who get to sit at home and make moral judgment calls about choices they don’t have to make. We can all talk about this until we are blue in the face but it doesn’t matter because we don’t decide.

Ultimately Hamas has tied Israelis hands. Hamas’ stated goal is the complete destruction of Israel and to kill all the Jews. It’s not a moral stance to realize that in return Israel has no choice but to completely destroy Hamas. That’s simply a basic logical deduction.
