I’m no fan of Trump but it is disingenuous to say that the animosity between this US and Iran is his fault or even mostly his fault, even ascribing 20% of it to him is way overstated. Relations with Iran have been terrible for 50 years, Trump was just starting to manage his first slums around that time so it’s hardly possible to blame it on him. True he didn’t help the situation at all while he was president and even set things back considerably but Iran was NEVER going to by an ally.
