I wonder if you understand what kind of collapse we avoided with those social safety nets. Capitalism is a virtuous cycle but one that is easily disturbed. What do you think our economy would look like now if all those lazy no good layabouts hadn’t had two nickels to rub together (or spend) for the last 18 months?
