I think you are fundamentally missing the point of why developers are not concerned at that is context. ChatGPT has no context, nor does it even actually “understand” anything. It will be a useful tool but it is far far from replacing even 50% of a developer’s job, much less 90%. And even if it does this particular path of AI does not have true comprehension in it.

I use Chatgpt almost every day now to offload simple tasks so they take 2 minutes instead of 20 but even GPT4 makes so many mistakes you actually really need to know what you are doing to spot them.

Developers are in no more danger from this than they were when the first IDE or intelisense were developed. It’s just another tool, you need to learn to use but you still need someone to operate the tool.
