I think you are a little confused about the geography here. The Donbas (in the east) does not give access to Moldova, nor does it cut off Ukraine from the Black Sea. What you are thinking of is the Odessa Oblast (further west) which is still under Ukrainian control and it is doubtful Russia could take control of it as it requires crossing 4 rivers or landing troops by sea.
