I don’t think “morality” is considered outdated, just that traditional Christian western morality has been revealed to not be all that it’s proponents believe and that there are many alternative views on morality that are also valid. There will always be room for morality based stories. It is just that now some of those stories now make traditionalists “uncomfortable”
