I don’t think it’s so much that they don’t offer solutions it’s that they have a desperately bleak outlook and offer nothing more than that. Doom gloom and nothing more. You can only read “the world is ending” or “we’re all going to die” without some extra value on top before you just give up on reading such drivel because it adds nothing to your life and does more harm than good
