I don’t know I think you are reading a awful lot into people’s actions without knowing their true motivations. Sure some people leave for the reasons you give but I suspect equally many will just leave because the perceived value of being on Twitter will no longer justify the effort required. I.e. it was never particularly useful in the first place and if it becomes less so because it is filled with bigots and idiots why even bother
