I completly agree. You are saying the exact same thing I am. The US is a conservative country.

I'm just looking at the next logical step which is that change, (policy, election systems, etc.) will occur when the generation in power, that is considered "conservatives" lose power through attrition to those with more progressive ideas. Just as happens in every country.
