Great piece. But code doesn’t need “respect” it’s just a tool. Like a fork or a chopstick.
And just like them you can’t make a chopstick with a chopstick (or a fork) sometimes you need something heavier, like an ax or a knife or a chainsaw.
Knowing when to use the right tool and methodology for the task at hand is the most important thing.
Besides, even if your “fork” leaves holes in your code you can always drop your branch and pull a new one.
