Excellent balanced article. I was originally a huge fan of induction cook tops but have shifted away as most of the benefits can be obtained with a flat top electric and without needing to worry about pans.

You also left of the fact that often even if switching from an electric range you may need to upgrade to a 50 amp circuit (although 40 amp units can be found)
