Even without assistance from the US and Europe Russia was never going to win this war. People who think like this do not understand Ukrainians. Ukrainians are not Russians they do not want to be part of Russia they want nothing to do with Russia. They have already fought twice in the last 20 years to throw off Russian puppet governments. Short of complete genocide there is no scenario in which Russia maintains control of Ukraine for any length of time. They couldn’t do it in Afghanistan at the hight of Soviet power they certainly can’t do it in Ukraine now.
