Comparing the market for phones and cars makes no sense. There are so many flaws in the base premise that it’s hard to pick one but let’s just start with the fact that one costs at most a couple thousand dollars and that the other cost several tens of thousands of dollars. Never mind the fact that people buy new phones far more frequent than new cars or the VERY important fact that entire segments of people don’t even own or want to own cars.
