Clearly you know everything and don’t need any help since it only took you trips all over town to discover the STANDARD way of reinstalling macOS since 2010… over the internet. Maybe just stop being paranoid and let the Genius Bar install the OS. They will be able to tell you if you bought a lemon which if your network cannot connect might be the case. Or don’t do any of that and enjoy your doorstop.
